Shoutouts to Main Street Magic and The Pixie Dust Fan Podcast for the episode ideas we used this week. We love these podcasts!
Hey Disney friends, welcome back to our podcast. Today we are doing a would you rather episode. This is a fairly common episode style. We've heard it on a bunch of different podcasts, but I just want to give a shout-out to Jeremy and Rhonda from Main Street Magic, who just celebrated their 10th anniversary of their Disney podcast. And they use this style a lot and they've been using it for a long time. And I really like it. So we're gonna do that today. Before we get started, though, I have a little question for you, Emily. Let's see what you come up with here. Okay. What's the weirdest thing you've become emotionally attached to? And I mean like in the parks or running. Oh gosh. Okay, well, I'm attached to a lot of things. Let's let's be honest. But probably the most recent thing that I'm attached to at Disney that I keep thinking about is looking at at Apcot at Spaceship Earth and looking back at it either at dawn or at dusk, and it's all lit up. And I have to, I'm either if I it's at the beginning of the vacation, I'm really excited. And if it's near the end, I have to give like a little, a little look and a little, I think in my head, thank you, because thank you for the experience of the marathon. Thank you for the experience of just having the Disney vacation and thank you for being my happy place. Yeah, that's I get that. I feel that whenever I'm leaving, I have that sort of pang of I need to say thank you and goodbye. Yeah. Well, I also, I mean, like you, have a lot of little things that sort of make my day emotionally, I guess. And one of them is that I need to go through the castle at the Magic Kingdom and I need to hear the music uh from Cinderella. I need to see the mosaics on the walls, and then I really feel like I've been at the Magic Kingdom. And if I haven't done that, it's okay. But there's something missing, you know? Sort of weird emotional attachment. Yeah. I'm attached to a lot of things emotionally there, but I think we just hit on two of the big ones. Yeah. Yeah, that's here. We go. Let's get into it. Would you rather? Miles or magic. We are two Canadian sisters who love every Disney adventure from travel with family to running marathons. On today's show, we're forcing each other to choose between impossible running and theme park scenarios. Speaking of irrational decisions we willingly make, let's head to the start line and the rope drop at the same time. It's time for would you rather miles versus magic. Okay, I'm ready. You want to go first? I have one for you. Okay. Would you rather rope drop Star Wars Galaxy's Edge or start in Corral A at the marathon? Oh, brother. I want to start in Corral A. Really? Okay. How come? Because I could take my time then. It wouldn't matter. The balloon ladies are not going to catch me. I could stop at every photo op. I could ride the Yeti. I just, I could go to the fleshy toilets. I just wouldn't feel the pressure anymore. I feel it now because I've slowed down as I've gotten older. And like when we first started doing Disney Marathons, I never ever felt that pressure. I never worried that we were. I didn't even, I don't even know if we knew about the balloon ladies back then. I don't know. But yeah, if I could start in Corral A, then that's yeah. Okay. That that's a that's a you know what? I think what's gonna happen a lot is I'll have an idea in my head of how I would answer the question, and then you'll give me your answer. And it's like, oh, that's a good argument. Huh. Maybe, maybe I I have a different answer. But I just wanted to say something about, you know, starting at this the last time we did the the marathon, we started in a corral even farther back just because of some of the our group and things. So that also put some pressure on us too, because usually we're somewhere more in the middle, I think, yeah, of the of the starting corral. But yeah, okay, that that's a good good answer. I was gonna pick Rope Drop Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, then starting in Corral A. Yeah, because I mean starting in Corral C is fine. I don't want to start in the last corral. Like if you had given me, you know, corral F or whatever is the last one, I don't want to start in that. Yeah, I don't want to start in that one. But I don't mind starting like in the middle, although that I don't know. I might have I think there's a lot of advantages to being an A. Yeah. And actually, you don't have to stand around waiting so long either. Yeah. Oh, okay. Okay, you've convinced me. Dropping Galaxy's Edge, I feel like I do that anyways. Huh. So that was a no-brainer for me. Okay, I got one for you. Let's see. Along the lines of that, let's go. Would you rather only use porta-potties during races for a year or only use theme park restrooms on the busiest holiday weekends? Oh, that's easy. I don't like porta-potties. You should see my face. I'm flushies all the way, even if I have to wait. Yeah. Yeah, me too. Yeah, fleshy toilets. I think that's a no-brainer. I don't want to use porta potties either. I mean, there is there is something about then you have to wait in line and stuff for the the restroom. Like the going. Washrooms are gross too. They are gross too. There's something grosser about a porta-potty. There is something grosser about a porta-potty. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not a fan of porta-potties. I mean, I'll use them if I have to, but not a fan. It gives me the heapy jeepies. Like we go out of our way to use the fleshies and the races. Totally. Yeah. I'll I wouldn't have to be around. Even if we have to go to the bathroom, we're like, okay, unless we're desperate, but you know, it's like, no, I can hold out for the next fleshies. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Come on. Okay. My turn for a question for you. Kind of along the same lines, I guess. Would you rather doing a 5K in full Florida humidity? Or would you rather wait three hours for a brand new attraction? Oh, that's hard for me. Because it's a 5K. Because I do not like waiting more than 90 minutes for an attraction. 5K. And I also can't run in the heat. Like my body shuts down, but I think I'm going to pick the 5K in the heat. That would be torture for me, but I would rather do that because I'm moving and I know I could have control over it than stand in a lineup for three hours. Yeah, no, I'll wait. I know the lineups for Big Thunder Mountain, because it's just been refurbed and reopened, are like insanely long. Like I saw somebody's TikTok the other day and it was like a five-hour wait for Big Thunder. I know. It can't be that. I don't know. I think they I'm not sure what they changed. I think it's the ride vehicle, like the ride like engineering of it or something somehow. I'm not sure. I'm saying stuff I don't know, but huh. Well, I guess that's what everybody was standing in line for to see what did they change, maybe. Yeah, I think the story is five hours. Do you think that the five hours, those must be all like influencers and TikTokers, YouTubers and I guess probably two. You know what? As an annual pass holder, kind of digressing here for a minute, but as an annual pass holder, I can go and s go on the rides, like the reopened ones or the newly opened ones, whatever, before everybody else. Like there's one on May Oh, really? I forget the date, 23rd or 16th, I don't know, 23rd maybe, where if you're an annual pass holder, you can go on shoot, I forget what just reopened Buzz Late Year or something. Anyways, yeah. Before everybody else. But I'm not gonna be in Florida. Like a soft opening kind of thing. I guess so. Well get and maybe get all the people who are I don't know. I don't know. Who can go whenever they want? Okay, yeah, right. My turn to ask you. Okay. So would you rather lose your park reservation for the day or have your race canceled the morning of? I would definitely rather lose my park reservation for the day. So as in because they don't really have park reservations anymore. No, but like if there was let me reword that then. If there was something about like you'd planned to go to Epcot for the day and there was something happening there that you really wanted to go to, and it got for some reason shut down. No, for sure. I would rather the park not being able to go to the park rather than not having done the race. And the reason for that is because there is so much to do at Walt Disney World, even outside of the park, that although I would be disappointed to not get to go to the park and whatever it was I was gonna do, but I could there's another option. You could go explore the different resorts, you could go to downtown or I want to call it downtown Disney Springs. My goodness, on Disney Springs. But the the race, you have been training for that for months, and it's a day on the calendar that has been circled, and you've worked a lot of hours, or I would have worked a lot of hours thinking about it, training for it, planning for it, and I'm ready for it on that day. And then if they cancel it, there's not like it's not a reschedule, it's not like, okay, we're gonna do it, you know, tomorrow or something, or you can't just go back next week. So, no, for sure, I'd rather the park be canceled. Yeah, I 100% agree with you. And when I was asking you that question, my brain went straight to like, this is a no-brainer. I would definitely be more disappointed if the race was canceled. And like you said, there's so many other things to do. I'm automatically thinking, well, it doesn't matter if I can't go to the park because I could do a million other things, I could just hang out at the pool at the resort or something. Like there's so many things. There's activities that are happening at the hotel. Like there's just so many things that are happening. And I mean, it has kind of happened for me that when doing the dopey that on the half marathon day, it wasn't canceled, but they did adjust the length of it. So instead of it being 21.1 kilometers, it was I think it was something like 11 kilometers. It was about half of it. I think there was about 10K that was taken off of it. And it was really good. And the reason why it was shortened was because there was going to be major thunderstorms that were coming in. So they actually upped the time. Like so we started a little bit earlier and finished got everybody off the course earlier as well. And so some people probably could have finished it, like some of those Corral A people who are both starting earlier and also just faster runners, they probably could have fit in the whole half marathon. So I think they were a little bit, you know, probably more disappointed. But it was pretty humid out. And I kind of flip-flopped back and forth on that day of whether or not I was disappointed or relieved that we didn't have to do it because it was harder running because of the humidity. But then I also felt like, well, I'm not achieving that goal that I sent out to achieve. So, you know, but the thing is, then we went to the parks later that day, and I definitely covered the same mileage that I would have. So it worked out. It all worked out. Okay. Yeah. I think that it didn't get canceled for you. Uh I had two thoughts while you were saying that. One was when you're talking about the Corral A runners, how disappointing that would have been for them because it's true, they probably could have finished in the time, but it's also not a situation where you could let some people run the whole thing and then try to corral people off to okay, time's up. If you didn't make it this far by this time, then because also you never know what's going to happen out on that course as they're running the full part of it, if something happened to somebody and then the weather changes and whatever. So I'm I guess I'm just playing out the scenario in my head. That's really true. Like how they make the call to shorten it versus cancel it versus whatever. So and for a lot of people, even those people that did finish, like when I finished the race, it hadn't started raining yet. But when I got on the the bus to get back to the resort that take you back, then it was just for like perfect timing. I there wasn't a drop of rain until I sat down on the bus seat. And then as we were going back to the resort, it just like down poured and the heavens opened. Yeah, it just went. But for some people, what they did was they just ran because you finish in the like Epcot parking lot basically. So they a lot of people just did big and the parking lots are huge. So they did laps of the parking lot and added in their missed mileage there. So some people still did it, you know, it just wasn't part of the whole official race. But remember the year that I went with George and Lily and I ran the marathon? That year the half marathon was canceled. Really? And they told everybody to go to ESPN or wherever to go pick up their medals because you could still go get your medal. What about like you don't get your money back though, right? Like if it's canceled. I don't think so. No. Oh, that would be that would be I would be devastated. Yeah. That would be really hard. Look, I don't think you can get your money back. They've spent it on the race. Right. Do you know what I mean? Like it's too late. I don't know what they did, but I do get any kind of compensation. I don't know. I know that they got their medals. We'll find that out for a while. And then there were a lot of really disappointed people because it was totally cancelled. So okay. Now I forget. Do I ask you a question? You asked me one. Yeah, because I asked you about canceling. Oh yeah, okay, okay. Let's see. Okay. Would you rather this one is gonna be not bad things that happen. This is gonna be good things. Okay. Would you rather uh sunrise running through Epcot and or Magic Kingdom during like, you know, race time, or watching a fireworks show at the parks every night for the week of your vacation. Oh I think the sunset run or sunrise running. Yeah. How come? Because that's unique. And not that fire, I mean, oh my gosh, so privileged. The fireworks are also very unique and amazing. It's just that I guess I've had fewer opportunities to run through the parks at sunrise than I have had to go and see the fireworks. So I would rather have that. I agree. Yeah. To me, it's more special. And I think again, it comes down to it's a moment that's that I've worked hard for to get there. Like we've trained so for so many hours to do that race. And it's almost like the that sunrise is a bit of a fireworks kind of moment, but it's one that you really earned. You didn't just have to show up and buy the ticket for it. You had to earn it to get there. Yeah, that's true. And you're also doing something with a whole bunch of other people that's different than being in the parks and enjoying the entertainment in the parks. It's an experience you're sharing with all these strangers. I don't know. I like, I don't know, for some reason that just makes me happy. Yeah. When I'm out experiencing things with like physically like doing something and experiencing with strangers, it makes my my heart really happy. Yes. So running when the sun is coming up, or you're running through the parks when it's all quiet and you know it's dark, or it's just that early morning dew and everything, and there's all these people that are doing it with you, or like even like totally digressing, skating on the canal in Ottawa, that makes me so happy because there's so many people out there, all walks of life, all ages, abilities, and everyone's just out there in the fresh air and skating, and I just love it. It makes me happy. So I want I I want to actually backtrack a little bit because sometimes when I say stuff, then I and I hear myself, I'm like, oh yeah, but what about this? And I just said how like how hard we worked for you know getting to the race, and that's totally true. But at the same time, you have to work pretty hard to get to Disney World sometimes, too, because you got to save your money, you gotta plan for it. Like these are trips of a lifetime, although some of us take those trips of a lifetime multiple times, but it's still a big deal. And I mean, not very many people just kind of go, hmm, I feel like going to Disney World this weekend. I'm gonna just get up and go. A lot of people they have to really work for it too. So getting to that fireworks could be pretty special. I mean, let's be real, there's been a tearshed. Oh, I cry every time. Yeah, watching those too. But at the same time, I still my answer is still the sunrise going through the park. Yeah. Same. Okay, my turn. Would you rather have unlimited lightning lane access forever? Ooh. Or guaranteed entry into every run Disney race weekend. Oh, I just got tingles on that. That's a tough one. Oh, dumb. Okay, so wait, repeat the question. Would you rather? This is a really hard one, I think. This one's hard. Okay, you might have stumped me on this one. Yeah. Would you rather have unlimited lightning lane access forever? Unlimited lightning lane access forever. And the and some version of lightning lane, because of course they always change it. Yes, but you know what I mean. Or guaranteed entry into every Run Disney race weekend. Forever. I think I'm gonna say lightning lanes forever because I may or may not be able to do every race. And oh, it seems silly, but I wouldn't want to take the spot of somebody else who could. Oh, that's hard. But but lightning lanes, was it just for me or is it for my group? Because if it's just me, it's just you but my rest of my group doesn't have it. Just you. Oh. Because then it's like, well, when I'm at the parks, I'm you I'm there with with people and I want to do the things with people. So if I have a lightning lane and the rest of my people don't, that's not helpful. Because I want to hang out with my people. But doing the race, I can always do the race by myself, more fun with other people, but I have I do have as much fun with a race. You're looking at your watch, like hurry up and answer. No, I just got a holler hype buzz. Oh. And I can't pick both. I need to hear what you think, so then I I'll go like whether or not you make a good point or not. I mine is not that cerebral. I'm gonna pick lightning lanes forever because the I think the age factor, like at some point I'm not gonna be able to run. Yeah, that's where I was kind of going with it. But you can still get on the like you can still be eight years old and get on a lot of the colours. You know what? It doesn't because my also, sorry, let me backtrack too. There's a lot of backtracking going on here today, because we're like, oh, wait a second. We didn't think this out at all. We're just we're no firing from the hip. Shooting from the hip. What do you call it? I don't know. Shooting from the hip. I guess because I was thinking race races or whatever, run Disney race weekend, I was like, oh marathon. I can't run, I'm not gonna be able to run marathons forever. I don't, you know, there's there's a man, Alan. You don't remember him maybe from the running race? Yeah, I do. We talked about him. He's 94 years old and he still runs 5Ks. Like, maybe I could just go and run the 5K's. You know what? I'm gonna pick guaranteed entry into every Run Disney race weekend. Because I'll be able to move. I'm gonna make sure that yeah, I don't know. This is a really hard one because Or you have somebody else who's younger and pushing you in your wheelchair. Yeah. That's a possibility. The Lightning Lane on your own. It's it's kind of I'm gonna pick Lightning Lane. Okay. That's a big one. Yeah, I don't know. I mean originally went that direction was Lightning Lane. Yeah. Not waiting in lineups. Hell yeah. Okay, what were you gonna say? Because I again interrupted you like I do. I don't know. Okay, and here's why I'm picking Lightning Lane, because I said I want to be with my group. Well, here's an idea. What if my group, those those poor suckers, have to wait for an hour and a half to two hours, and I'll be like, okay, I know the wait time is two hours. I'm gonna go get myself a snack, get a churro, dole whip. I don't know. I I don't eat either of those usually, but that's okay. Popcorn, and find my chocolate coins, and then I'll time it, my lightning lane, so that we'll be at the spot and we're on the same time, so we're in and out at the same time. You could like run in and do a bunch of attractions while people are waiting for one. Or if I go by myself, I've never done a solo Disney trip, but uh like I would. I I'm sure I would. And then as a solo person, I don't want to wait in line as much. So the Lightning Lane would probably be more useful. Okay. There. Just had to talk it out, hear it out, see what the arguments are. Okay. So you're Lightning Lane's Forever. Lightning Lane Forever. Unlimited, and I'm guaranteed entry into every run Disney's weekend. And then if that happens, we'll both be kicking ourselves because we're like, oh, you have this and I want that. Okay, you go. Okay, I have a question for you. Okay. Would you rather finish with the balloon ladies last in a Disney marathon or be forced to leave the parks early? Like let's say you have to be have to leave the parks at noon every day. Like in other words, you only had like a limited amount of time at the parks. Easy. I would rather be forced to leave the parks every day than finish last with the balloon ladies. Really? Yes. That's way too stressful. But the parks I can go in. I've also this is coming from experience, personal experience. Like I've had enough experience in the parks that if I could only go in for a little while, ride the people mover, and I'd had to leave, I'm good. I got to ride the people mover. Hmm. Oh, you can only have time to go on Haunted Mansion and walk through the Swiss Family Robinson tree. Great. I would rather do that than finish with the Bloom Loon. Because finishing them with the Balloon Lady would stress me out too much. Yeah, that's true. I know they're by I don't know, but by all accounts, they're really lovely people, very supportive and encouraging. I'm sure that it would be really uplifting to finish with them, but No, I'm going with the Balloon Ladies. Are you? I know that sounds crazy. No, it doesn't. Well, like because of I would feel the same. Being close to the balloon ladies, although again, I understand they're lovely people and tell jokes and are really encouraging. And so finishing with the balloon ladies would also be enjoyable, but that stresses me out because I definitely wouldn't want to get swept. But I would not want to, because I don't get to go to Walt Disney World as often as I would like. And so when I do go, it's special and I want to make sure I'm maximizing my time. And so as long as it says, because the question is like, would you rather finish with the balloon ladies? So in other words, I'm finishing. I am finishing. So yeah. So I'm not sure. It would depend on how I was feeling, I suppose. Like, am I finishing with them and I'm finishing upright, smiling, no problem, easy peasy? That would be fine. You know you're there's no stress. I know I'm finishing it. There's no like, yeah, it hurts, but I'm there's no worry that I'm gonna drop back. Or is it that I'm struggling to keep up with them? Right. And I finished with them, but I was stressed the entire time. I'm imagining the first scenario. Yeah, is the first scenario. We're having fun, we're at the back, we're that I would choose over having to leave the parks. Yeah, that's what I'm imagining. So I was imagining the stressful, like I'm I'm struggling to finish scenario. I would rather leave the park earlier than that. So that's a two double answer. Wait, we were forced to pick one. Anyway, whatever. I think we got the point. Yeah. Okay. Okay, is it my turn or your turn? No, I just asked you. Okay. So I'm gonna ask you, would you rather PR a half marathon at Disney or get a free VIP tour day at the Magic Kingdom? A free VIP tour day at the Magic Kingdom. Yeah, I didn't even have to think about that either. I don't care about the PR. I don't care about I would want to do like I do care. I would care about getting a personal best time, but not at Disney World. I don't I don't care. I just want to have a fun time and I want to feel good and I want to finish it when I'm at Disney. So that doesn't matter. No, but but a free VIP tour? Free? You said free? Free. Free. Then yeah, that would be that would be pretty cool. Totally. Okay, this one is I've got two more for you. Go for it. Hmm. Okay. Would you rather train for a Disney marathon during hot summer weather throughout your training or freezing cold winter weather with ice and snow? Oh easy. Ice and snow, freezing cold. Easy answer. I'll go for that every time because hot, humid, I cannot do. I can't do it. I shut down. I run and then I just feel like I'm gonna puke. My body starts to shiver. I hit heat stroke really quickly. I don't know why, but I can't run in that temperature. Yeah, that doesn't sound good. Nope what about you? Opposite. I knew it. I would rather do the hot summer weather training than the freezing cold weather where the there's like the wind is coming down sideways and pelleting you with ice pellets, and you come in from it and your legs burn from it, and then you have to watch every step because it's icy and slippery, or you're trudging through like deep snow to make it. It's just harder to run on the snow than like dry, you know, where you don't have to look at your footing as much. And yeah, you I'd rather have the summer weather, even if it's hot. I think you like the summer weather. Yeah, like you sweat it out and you like running in that heat. Yeah, am I right? Yes, mostly. Yeah, mostly. I mean, there are times where it's a little too much, but I suffer more from being cold. It hurts more than being cold than it is like the you know, sweating crazy. But I've seen your like I I I knew what you were gonna pick. I think I I was pretty sure anyway, because I've seen your swollen hands from your heat stroke. It's brutal. And like neither of those situations are enjoyable to run in. I agree with you with all those reasons about the cold weather, the footing that's slippery and icy, and my toes will freeze, like you start to lose feeling, and it takes a long time before the circulation starts getting that far. It's more energy because you're shivering and but I it never makes me stop running. I can run in that, even if my feet are frozen. It doesn't force me to walk. Whereas the heat, I have to walk. I can't even run, it's just too much. So I'm picking the lesser of two eagles. Okay, my next one for you is would you rather get stuck behind a slow walking group on Main Street or behind a wall of runners during a race bottleneck? Oh, both of those are hard answers. Or okay, slow on Main Street or at a bottleneck come the race. I don't know how to answer that. Okay, so can I ask some scenario questions? Like for sure. Okay, so on Main Street, am I trying to like rope drop something? Or am I trying to, or are we just there to take in the scene? No, you're there to rope drop. Okay, no, okay, that would frustrate me. And then is it just at the bottleneck, or is it like like and then it opens up and we're good again, or am I stuck behind a group for like it's just at the bottleneck? Okay, well So both are temporary situations because the pedestrians on Main Street are just for Main Street. So once you get past Main Street USA, you're past them. And the bottleneck is just at the bottleneck. They're both equally. Which one would bother you more? Which one would you prefer to do? Well, the bottleneck, I can understand it happening, and as long as at the bottleneck it opens up, then that's okay. But sometimes we've been stuck where people like a big group will just take over the whole thing, and it's not so much because of a bottleneck. And that's what frustrates me when it's like it's not, it doesn't have to be that way, but a bottleneck kind of has to be that way, it's just the nature of what happens, so I kind of understand it. But on Main Street USA, I also understand that a family might be just taking it in. I don't know if I can answer it, because like uh, you know, it's not the person's fault that they're the people that are walking slowly, they're just they're just taking it all in. I'm gonna go. I don't have an answer. You have to pick something. But okay, if I'm trying to get to a lightning lane because I'm gonna lose my spot or something like that, I guess I'll go with that, the main street USA. But the thing is, like, it's not their fault. They just shouldn't have to move. They're they're enjoying it too. Do you pick Main Street USA walkers over race bottleneck? The race bottleneck really is frustrating too. But if it's just the bottleneck part, it's like, well, that's just what happened. Either, either way, it's just what happens. If you rephrased it, not so much that it was the bottleneck, and I got stuck bus behind people that were on the race. That's not the question. Stop changing the question. Well, if it was, I would answer the question. It would be the race. During the course narrows ahead part than walking behind slow walkers on Main Street USA. My head hurts. I can't. I can't think. I would pick if this helps. Do you want me to take? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would pick I would rather be behind a bottleneck on the run. Yeah. Because I think if I'm behind slow walkers on Main Street USA and I'm rope dropping and I just want to get to Tron or I don't know, whatever, I would be like, oh, this is frustrating. And that would probably be less of a holdup than the bottleneck on the run. But the bottleneck on the run also gives me a chance to walk for a minute. No, but sometimes with the bottleneck on the run. Oh, hi, Maple. I don't know if you heard of that, but my dog just came down and shook her and call her like crazy. The bottleneck on the run, though, sometimes it hurts. Like sometimes changing your gait makes it more uncomfortable. So that's why I'm really like, I'm really torn. Anyway, okay, let's move on. Okay. I have no answer. Do you have any more questions? I do. Do we have time for more? Okay, one more each. Yeah. Okay. Do we have time for more? Ooh. Okay. Would you rather let me just check. Okay, I have two more, but I'll pick this one. Would you rather wear an uncomfortable yet adorable race costume or wear comfortable gear with no Disney theme? Whether that's at the parks or this could be parks or race. Oh, parks or race? Yeah, I'll say parks or race. It was an easy answer until you said that. Okay, well, how are you gonna answer it? If it was just for the race. I'd rather wear a comfortable, I don't care if it has a Disney theme clothing. Because I would rather be comfortable. Okay. Period. So funny. Okay. You did not think I was gonna say that because I do love the Disney band. I love the matching t-shirts, but if it's if my clothes are uncomfortable, I'm gonna be miserable. Okay, so if it were a race, you would pick comfortable clothes. No, I'm now I'm thinking about it. I would pick comfortable clothes. Okay, what if it were okay, what if it was a park day? I would pick comfortable clothes over something that was uncomfortable. Okay. Because it would bother me all day and then I wouldn't have as the best time every yeah. So yeah. Easy answer. I would do for a race. My answer in the race context would be uncomfortable but adorable race. Yeah. I think so. Wow. I think so. Because we've talked about this before, because wearing an adorable little costume gets you more cheers from the the crowd. And so, yes, it's uncomfortable, but it also really helps boost, give me some a boost of energy. So, like, I mean, is it really uncomfortable or just slightly uncomfortable? Because like I've worn mini ears during a race, and those mini ears are uncomfortable. They pinch your head, you know, like they're pinching my head the whole time. And so that was uncomfortable. Like, or we wrote wore the big, huge, you know, goofy hat, and I was extra hot in it. So I was a little bit more uncomfortable. Now, does it is it uncomfortable because it hurts? No, I don't want to wear something that hurts. It's just is it irritating? But if I were in a park situation, I want to be comfortable. I don't want the I would rather be no Disney and comfortable on a park day. But yeah, that's amazing. I think feel like that is just so backwards.
unknownYeah.
JennyBecause if I had to choose, if you said if the question was race versus parks, one of them you're gonna be comfortable clothing no Disney theme versus uncomfortable Disney theme, I would have said I'll be comfortable while I'm running and uncomfortable at the parks. No, I'm I don't know, I'm reverse. Yeah. Well, it's crazy doing a long marathon anyway. So, and you're already on you're for sure uncomfortable during the marathon anyway. So why throw it worse? Why not throw out the world? That doesn't make any sense. Yeah, well, I'm going with that. Imagine the chafing. Oh, you could be bleeding. Yeah, you could be when you've discovered, yeah, like afterwards. In the anyway, that's my answer. Okay. Do you have any others? I think I think we've hit a lot of good ones. So those are our those are our would you rather picks. Everybody listening, let us know which choices you agreed with. And which ones were completely unacceptable. Okay, so now it's time for a new segment in which we would like to share something good that's happening in our lives, whether it was just recently, in the present, or in our future. It's the great, big, beautiful update.
SPEAKER_00There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow. Shining at the end of every day. There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow. And tomorrow's just a dream away.
JennyOkay, here's my great big beautiful update that's happened just in the last couple of weeks, which is, well, wait, let me give you some context. First of all, I need everybody to know that I have many hats. One of them is Disney's Disney Podcaster. Another is I'm the artistic director for the Puppets Up International Puppet Festival. And I've been programming the festival, which is happening this August, and having some things come up which have been challenging with artists that have canceled some venue issues. And this week I think I got it all sorted out. So it's really mostly sorted out. Nothing is completely settled, but I just feel like I can sleep at night again because I have a lot of it sorted out. So that's really good. That's that's amazing. Yeah, I know you've been worried about that. That's been kind of bothering you, stressing you out. So that's good news. I know, it's really good news. Awesome. What about you? Okay, so mine is just something I'm kind of thankful for, and this is sort of what I'm looking forward to. And right now we have a long weekend that and so long weekends are always nice, and so I'm really looking forward to having that extra day of just spending time at home doing things with around the house in the yard. But what's even better is that our the weather forecast for this long weekend is sunny and warm, and we've had a pretty cold and rainy spring. And in the school, they turned off the heat, which is fine. It's it's fine. Most people are fine, but it's fine. But I've been cold. I've been cold at work, and I come home and it's just like brrrr. Like I'm still wearing wintery clothes and it's springtime. Yeah, because in the building it's still really cold. Yeah, you know, it's cement blocks and things, so it it's your pain. You know, it could be warmer outside, and then and the weather is nicer outside, but the school, especially where the classroom is, it doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight. So I've been chilly, and so the fact that it's gonna be sunny and warm and dare I say hot this weekend, and so I can do some outdoor gardening. I'm just really looking forward to that and thankful for that. Nice. Yeah, something little, but I still appreciate it. A nice sunshiny update. And speaking of appreciating things, I just want to thank the Pixie Dust Fan Club podcast for this idea of ending the episode by sharing something really positive happening in our lives, big or small, even it's the small things, right? I always enjoy hearing about the good things going on in Fran and Carrie's lives, and so hopefully people enjoy hearing about our run. Join us next time.
